Origin STORY
One day I walked up to a group of paramotor guys hanging out by the beach and asked them if I could fly my FPV drone around them. They said yes and this was the result of that.
Afterwards Mike strapped me into his wing and showed me the basics of ground handling, and I was hooked. Mike and I flew quite a bit together as well as the other guys, then he moved to South FL and sold his paramotor. Before he left I made him a photo book of some flights / beauty shots and all of our flying buddies wrote in it.
MIKE AND I
THE DUDES
We have around ~6-10 regular local flying dudes.
THE FAMILY
This is my wife Llyndze and our son Liam just turned 1.
YouTube Short Watching Dad Fly
I photoshopped this photo of Liam with me and posted it, the responses were entertaining.
THE LOCATION
Gulf Islands National Seashore. Long wide open stretch of beach with one road and several parking lots throughout.
THE MERMAID MAILBOX
Take something + leave something like a geocache. There’s two - one walkable far East Navarre sound side, and one by boat / paddleboard West Navarre sound side.
PARAMOTOR PIECES I’VE DONE FOR SOME IDEAS
OTHER IDEAS
We always have these feet photos to differentiate drone photos from us flying. Could do a “stop motion” type shoe montage, snap a photo every few seconds over a variety of landscapes.
Legend / Legacy
Another through-line story could be how 70yr old Mike passed down the love for flying, then retiring from it, and now my son growing up around it. Could probably get Mike in town to hang out, interview, give us some soundbytes.
MINI PARACHUTES
I threw some small army men parachutes for my brothers kids when they were in town. Could be cool to toss out some baby hey dudes and my wife/son try and catch them?
